Eilena Braye — Abstract Artist Bridging Science and Art

I translate the invisible into vibrant visual language

I am Eilena Braye (b. 1988), a Swiss-based artist and trained pathologist. My practice bridges the invisible world of science and the emotional resonance of abstraction. Fascinated by cell biology, histology, and microscopic structures, I translate what I observe into vibrant, layered compositions.

Each artwork is both analytical and poetic, merging the precision of medical observation with the fluidity of contemporary abstraction.

My artistic mission is to reveal the unseen harmonies that sustain life — the silent systems, the rhythms, the inner landscapes that connect us all.

From Pathology to Visual Language

After years of working in medicine, I realized that scientific inquiry alone could not satisfy my creative urge. Art became my medium of exploration, allowing me to give shape to the unseen.

Each canvas and screen print is a reflection of the delicate balance between order and chaos, structure and freedom, stability and transformation.

Through acrylics, mixed media, and screen printing, I create works that invite viewers — curators, collectors, and art enthusiasts — to pause, observe, and engage with the hidden beauty of the living world.
